Due to cultural sensitivities a woman in Toronto has died as her headscarf got stuck in a piece of machinery at an industrial accident, but the media is downplaying the incident.
Toronto police say a 23-year-old woman has died after an industrial accident on Friday afternoon.
Staff Sgt. Ian Lamond said the woman was working at a food company when an article of her clothing got caught in a conveyor belt.
Lamond said the woman was found without vital signs at the scene, near Wilson Avenue and Clayson Road. Police arrived there shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday.
