This has been another failure by the Trudeau government.

The issue started March 6 after Postmedia contacted Procurement Canada and DND with questions about potential problems with welds on board the Arctic ships being built for the federal government by Irving.

The departments quickly alerted Irving about the inquiry, and two hours later McCoy threatened Postmedia with legal action.

Why did the government contact Irving after Postmedia reporter had questions regarding the contract to build Arctic ships? What happened to freedom of the press?
